Event Details

Do you know your Malbecs? During this event we will taste four delicious Malbec from France and Argentina. See if you can figure out which region each is from.

Whether you are a newbie wine lover or a seasoned oenophile you will enjoy tasting and learning about these beauties.  Each wine will be presented with detailed tasting notes and background of grape and region.

The event will consistent of blind tastings of the four wines. The member with the most guesses will win a special prize.

Early bird tickets: $17 until July 16th, prices go up to $27. This event will be a lot of fun so I hope you can join us! There will be light refreshments paired with the wines.

Chateau Vieux Poirier Bordeaux 2014

The property is located in Galgon, close to Fronsac, on a sandy, clayey plateau facing the southeast.

Domaine Des Bateliers Cahors 2009

Domaine des Bateliers, a property of the Burc family since the 18th century, is a famous estate.

Famiglia Bianchi Malbec 2014

This 2014 Malbec comes from two vineyards – the Doña Elsa Estate, situated in Ram Caída, San Rafael, Mendoza at 750 meters above sea level, and Finca Constanza Stradella Bianchi, located in the Cuoto Benegas District, both in San Rafael province.

Pascual Toso Reserva Malbec 2014

This fine wine is produced using grapes grown in our own estate, located in Las Barrancas, Maipú.

Getting There

Parking Details:
Located at the river end of King Street in Old Town Alexandria.
There is a parking garage directly across the street. Parking entrance location on N Lee Street and N Union Street.
Public Transit:
Catch the Blue or Yellow metro line to the King Street Station, and then jump on the free King Street Trolley in the station’s car park. The trolley runs every 10-15 minutes between the station and Union Street, which is a short five minute ride away and one block from Founders Hall.
